trying to save our wedding

on new year's day, we decided to take advantage of the day off, and try to salvage our wedding which has, to put it mildly, fallen apart.  less than 2 months to go, and we have to re-do all of our wedding plans.  so.not.ideal.

we found a plan b, an option we were happy with, despite the melancholy of mourning the original plan.  but days later, the venue denied us.  so we looked into other places and all were either too small, too large, or booked.

so now we are searching for a plan c.  we decided that we'd give this option a shot, and if it doesn't work out, we're ok with not having a wedding.  we've actually wanted to elope since june, so if the cairene universe is telling us that there isn't going to be a wedding, we can totally live with that.

while i am excited for our wedding, i have to admit that i am most excited for it to be over. i'm no bridezilla by any means, and never really dreamed of a "dream wedding."  plus, in my opinion, the wedding is the least important part of a marriage.  it's neither the beginning, nor the highlight, and it's not "the biggest day of our lives," either.  it's an exciting, but very expensive party/tradition.  but luckily i have the best partner and side kick to go through it all with, he's really been my rock through it all.  by the time the wedding comes, after all this stress, we will seriously deserve the lavish honeymoon we have planned.

but alas, we are going for the third try, and third time's the charm right?  we'll see.

giving it our last shot
